FSCI`s “House of opportunity programme is the new cause of vivacoms operation yellow coins”
VIVACOM announced that this year FSCI’s “House of Opportunity” Programme is the new cause for their „Operation Yellow Coins” charity campaign.
At the end of April in a ceremony VIVACOM announced its support for our cause – a chance for young people leaving institutional care to become dignified and contributing members of our society by participating in the “House of Opportunity ” Programme – a network of family-type facilities in the country, where young people vulnerable to risk behaviours will find support and training for finding and keeping a job or further their education.
The program is in development for 6 years. It is based on best practices from Western Europe, adapted to the conditions in Bulgaria and the needs of the young people here. The focus of the FSCI’s activities is providing residential service, training and support for young adults leaving social institutions. To date we have 5 projects within the Programme, and the latest one is situated in Sofia. We accommodated 24 young people who acquire social skills and develop work habits – learn how to manage personal finances and household, how to maintain their health, developing skills for creating long-term positive relationships, adaptation to independent life, and subsequent support.
In 2014 in the face of VIVACOM, FSCI will have a strong partner, market leader in telecom services sector in Bulgaria, with a long tradition in the implementation of charitable causes.
So far „Operation Yellow Coins” is the most successful campaign focused on social causes in the last three years.
